March Summary


Here’s a breakdown of my March running.

Spring has finally sprung, the ice that has plagued January and February is no more. I managed to run my furthest total distance in a month (167.3km) and get my PB’s in the 1km, 1 mile and 5km (4:53, 7:59, 26:08).

While I didn’t run any really long runs (I stuck around the half marathon distance) I worked hard on my fitness and speed training with intervals. This has had a positive impact on my VO2 Max which has now risen to 45.

It’s not all been good news though, sadly the Ultra I’ve entered that was due to be run in May has been postponed until September. This news wasn’t entirely a surprise considering the current climate but it’s still disappointing.

After such a good month I looking to push myself and go further next month and build on this momentum.
